REMINDER: 50 Large-print Bibles Needed

The Michigan Conference WMS is continuing its support for the Prison Ministry started under the leadership of our immediate past Michigan Conference President Sis. Patty Gray. And whenever Chaplain Leroy White makes a request, I can’t say no.

Prison Chaplain Rev. Rev. Leroy White needs 50 Large Print Bibles for the Prison Ministry and we would like to deliver them in time for Bishop John Bryant to bless. He will be visiting the Prison on Saturday, February 14th.

I have (already) ordered the Large Print Bibles. The hard-bound books cost $15.00 each. If you, your society or church is interested in donating books to the Prison, please make your check payable to the Michigan Conference WMS (with Prison Ministry in the memo) and send it to WMS Conference Treasurer:

Orletta E Caldwell
65 Cadillac Square
Suite 2200
Detroit MI 48226

Please bring or send your check to Founder’s Day (02/15/2009) or mail it by Feb. 28. Just let me know as soon as you can how many books you pledge to donate. Individuals, societies and churches that contributed to this effort will receive a letter from the WMS for your tax deductible donation.

Thank you in advance and please share this information with others.

Blessings,
Jacqueline Mitchell Robinson
